I am a data analyst based in Hamburg, Germany. My career began in accounting and then public-sector audit in South Africa, where I led external audits of national departments and large public entities, and later led data analytics and computer-assisted audit techniques for about 20 audits. I now deliver end-to-end analytics solutions for small and owner-managed businesses.
How I work
- Validation and controls first. I check completeness and accuracy before analysing anything, and I design the checks to run again each time the data changes.
- A structured process. Projects follow CRISP-DM, from business understanding to deployment, with each step documented.
- Plain explanations. I report findings to executive management and turn complex data into decisions people can act on.
- AI-assisted development, checked. I use AI tools to speed up delivery and validate every output before it is relied on.
